I’ve been on the lookout for a great spot with free wi-fi where I can hunker down on a regular basis to get stuff done. I thought I found it. It’s near my favorite part of town, it’s got all kinds of the girly coffees I like, some simple food, and lots and lots of cool art. I was thinking about how Diane and I could bring the kids here, I’d tell all my friends about how cool it is, and I’d be back on a regular basis.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever be back now
I wasn’t sitting here for 10 minutes before the lady working here came over and made sure I was going to buy something and not just use the free wi-fi. I told her I was planning on buying something later. She went on insisting I buy something like she never heard that I had said, “I was planning on buying something later.” She told me it was good etiquette and that I’d understand if I knew how much she was paying for the wi-fi.
Now I know why I’m the only one sitting here…

wow – this is… really rude. I can’t believe that reaction. She really ruined a potential recurring customer
And I’m sure we can guess how much she’s paying for the Wi-Fi — there are only a few options in Erie and we’re all subscribing to them. It could be anywhere between $35/mo to $120/mo . . . depending on what speed she’s getting.
UGH. sorry man. I still vote Panera is the best bet and they’ll never bug you about buying anything. it is a little busy, but you see tons of people, etc. I also think Andy Kerr has a place he goes to in the Boro that he loves, a bagel shop of some sort.
I did the Brickhouse once and loved it.
I think Andy is the reason that bagel place has wi-fi
Dude I was even looking at some the art there thinking how cool it’d be to buy a piece.
Try Chick Fil A or Tim Horton’s on 12th st.
Chik Fil A… That’s a GR8 idea. Thanks
